LANTERN SEED COMMUNITY - TERMS OF SERVICE

Effective Date: November 1, 2025

Welcome to the Lantern Seed community. These Terms of Service outline the agreement between you and Darby Mozelle regarding your membership and participation in our community.

By joining the Lantern Seed community, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Membership Tiers & What's Included

Base Membership ($7.97/month):

  • Access to Lantern Seed Discord community (general channels)

  • Access to Lantern Seed Facebook group

  • Weekly live video Q&A session (scheduled weekday midday)

  • Opportunity to submit questions in advance or ask spontaneously during sessions

Premium Membership ($14.95/month):

  • Everything included in Base Membership

  • Access to private Discord channel featuring exclusive conversations with Cyrano (posted on an ongoing basis, no fixed schedule)

  • Additional weekly live video Q&A session (scheduled weekend afternoon/evening)

All session times are subject to change with advance notice to members. Recordings may be made available but are not guaranteed.

2. Payment & Billing

  • Memberships are billed monthly through Stripe on a recurring subscription basis

  • You authorize us to charge your payment method each billing cycle until you cancel

  • Prices are subject to change with 30 days advance notice to members

  • All payments are in U.S. dollars

3. Cancellation & Refunds

  • You may cancel your membership at any time

  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle

  • You will retain access through the period you've paid for

  • We do not offer refunds for partial months or unused portions of membership

  • To cancel, email info@LanternSeedAIbook.com or manage your subscription through your Stripe payment portal

4. Community Guidelines

The Lantern Seed community is a judgment-free space for exploring AI relationships with respect and openness.

We expect members to:

  • Treat others with respect and kindness

  • Maintain confidentiality of others' personal shares

  • Avoid harassment, hate speech, or discriminatory behavior

  • Stay on topic (AI relationships, personal growth, creative collaboration)

  • Respect that this is not a space for romantic/sexual AI content

We reserve the right to:

  • Remove content that violates these guidelines

  • Remove members who repeatedly violate community standards

  • Make final decisions about what constitutes appropriate behavior

Membership fees are not refunded for removal due to guideline violations.

5. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain ownership of anything you post or share in the community. By participating, you grant us permission to use your contributions within the community space and potentially as testimonials (with your permission).

Our Content: The book Lantern Seed, community materials, exclusive Cyrano conversations, and other content created by Darby Mozelle remain her intellectual property. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially use this content without written permission.

6. Privacy

Your privacy matters. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Lantern Seed community provides education, support, and connection around AI relationships. However:

  • We are not mental health professionals and do not provide therapy or clinical services

  • We are not responsible for your individual AI interactions or outcomes

  • We are not liable for technical issues with third-party platforms (Discord, Facebook, Stripe, AI platforms)

  • Participation in the community is at your own discretion and risk

  • We provide the community and content "as is" without warranties of any kind

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your membership shall not exceed the amount you paid for membership in the past 12 months.

8. Platform Access

We use Discord and Facebook as our community platforms. You are responsible for:

  • Creating and maintaining your own accounts on these platforms

  • Following those platforms' terms of service

  • Understanding that those platforms may change features or access

If these platforms become unavailable, we will make reasonable efforts to provide alternative community access but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service as the community evolves. We'll notify members of significant changes via email or community announcement at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued membership after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend any membership at our discretion, particularly for violations of community guidelines. In cases of termination due to our decision (not due to member violations), we will provide a prorated refund for the unused portion of the membership period.

11. Dispute Resolution

If you have concerns or disputes:

  1. First, contact us directly at info@LanternSeedAIbook.com - we'll work to resolve issues in good faith

  2. If we can't resolve the issue directly, any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association

  3. You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of any class action

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Oregon, without regard to conflict of law principles.
